Pope Francis Daily Reflections: June 28th 2021

Monday 28th June : God offers us this time with mercy and patience so that we may learn every day to recognise him in the poor and the lowly. Let us strive for goodness and be watchful in prayer and in love. May the Lord, at the end of our life and at end of history, be able to recognise us good and faithful servants.

Tuesday 29th June : In the Bible, God always appears as the one who takes the initiative in the encounter with humanity: it is he who seeks man; usually he seeks him precisely while man is in the bitter and tragic moment of betraying God and fleeing from him. God does not wait in seeking him: he seeks him immediately.

Wednesday 30th June:  This is God’s way of doing things: he is not impatient like us, who often want everything all at once, even in dealings with other people. God is patient with us because he loves us , and those who love are able to understand, to hope, to inspire confidence; they do not give up, they do not burn bridges, they are able to forgive.

July

Celebrate life

Respect life

Human dignity

Creation

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

Thursday 1st July:  To assist the poor is good and necessary, but it is enough. I encourage you to multiply your efforts in the area of human promotion, so that every man and every woman can know the joy which comes from the dignity of earning their daily bread and supporting their family.

Friday 2nd July: : The unemployed, whether men or women, must also sense the dignity which comes from providing for their household, of being breadwinners!

Saturday 3rd July:  We are in a world economic system which is centered on money, not on the human person. A genuine economic system is centered on a man and woman, the human person is at the center.

If you wish to sign up for Gift Aid. It is a great way to help the parish financially, costing you absolutely nothing. If you wish to sign up contact myself or Doreen Lee and we will give you the form and hand it back as you can and we can get it organised. As I said it costs you nothing, but helps the parish so much.

I am looking for Volunteers to move the power-points on during the Sunday Masses, Vigil 4pm, 9.30am & 11am. It is very easy to operate, if we get enough volunteers for each Mass we would put a wee rota together. It would take a wee bit of pressure off me.
