September

We Are Family

Heritage of Faith

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

Monday 6th September : Availability, the availability of a father or a mother to their children, is so important: “spend time” with your children, play with your children.

Tuesday 7th September : I imagine how hectic the day of a mum or dad is; they get up early, take their children to school, then they go to work, often in places where there are tensions and conflicts, as well as places that are far away.

Wednesday 8th September:  The question stirs in our heart: What can we do so that our children, our kids, can give meaning to our lives? Because they also feel that our way of living is sometimes inhuman, and they do not know what direction to take so that life can be beautiful and so they’re happy to get up in the morning.

Thursday 9th September:  The many mothers and fathers who make critical choices each day in order to continue on with their families, with their children… are an example for us.

Friday 10th September: Jesus is the one who brings together and unites generations! He is the inexhaustible font of that love which overcomes every occasion of self-absorption, solitude, and sadness.

Saturday 11th September:  In the Gospel, Jesus welcomes children, he embraces them and blesses them (cf Mark 10:16). We too need to protect, guide, and encourage our young people, helping them to build a society worthy of their great spiritual and cultural heritage.

If you wish to sign up for Gift Aid. It is a great way to help the parish financially, costing you absolutely nothing. If you wish to sign up contact myself or Doreen Lee and we will give you the form and hand it back as you can and we can get it organised. As I said it costs you nothing, but helps the parish so much.

I am looking for Volunteers to move the power-points on during the Sunday Masses, Vigil 4pm, 9.30am & 11am. It is very easy to operate, if we get enough volunteers for each Mass we would put a wee rota together. It would take a wee bit of pressure off me.
