Pope Francis Daily Reflections: August 30th 2021
Monday 30th August : A family with no memory hardly deserves the name. A family that does not respect and attend to its grandparents, who are its memory, is a broken family: but a family and a people who remember are a family and a people with a future.
Tuesday 31st August : In your journey as a family you share so many beautiful moments: meals, rest, housework, leisure, prayer trips and pilgrimages, and time of mutual support…. Nevertheless, if there is no love then there is no joy and authentic love comes to us from Jesus. he offers us his Word, which illuminates our path: he gives us the Bread of life which sustains on our journey.

We Are Family
Heritage of Faith
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Wednesday 1st September: Christian spouses are not naive; they know life’s problems and temptations. But they are not afraid to be responsible before God and before society.
They do not run away, they do not hide; they do not shirk the mission of forming a family and bringing children into the world. But today, Father it is difficult… Of course it is difficult.
Thursday 2nd September: Through their free and faithful act of love, Christian spouses testify to the fact that marriage is a sacrament, is the foundation of the family and strengthens spousal union and the couples mutual gift of self.
Friday 3rd September: It is normal for husband and wife to argue, it’s normal. It always happens. But my advice is this: never let the day end without having first made peace. Never!
Saturday 4th September: But be honest with me, how many times do you say thank you to your wife, and to your husband? How many days by without uttering the word, thanks?
