Update from Fr Frank
Once again, it’s Thursday afternoon, it’s a lovely afternoon. I’m listening to “Magic at the musicals”, while I write this. We have a busy week ahead of us with the Mission, I’m looking forward to it. I hope that we all get something out of it. Please invite people to come along, to receive the graces of the Holy Spirit which will be present during these days of prayer.
I welcome on your behalf Fr. Kieran & Fr. Maurice who will be leading the Mission for us. Say a prayer that the cope with living in the same house as me lol. Or is it me that will need the prayers lol.
The P4’s of St. Mark’s started rehearsing for their First Communions they were great. It took me back to my First Communion in 1972. A day I have never forgotten. So pray for all the children who are making their First Communion this year in St.Peter’s and St. Mark’s.
There have being priests in my life who I have admired Canon Michael MacNamee, Fr. Leo Muldoon and Fr. George Donaldson.
Fr. Donaldson, taught me Moral Theology at the seminary, he was a great lecturer and always was on your side. His nickname for me was “Kingo”. He went round high schools giving talks to sixth years on catholic moral teaching. He had a good way with him and he got his message across in a way the young people would understand. He worked for the Lord, his life was based on his relationship with God. He didn’t do it for himself. I will always remember him. He deserves to be in the presence of his loving Father. He was a good man. Eternal rest grant unto him.
