Pope Francis Daily Reflections: September 13th 2021
September
We Are Family
Heritage of Faith
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Monday 13th September : Today too, children are crying, they are crying a lot, and their crying challenges us. In a world which daily discards tons of food and medicine, there are children, hungry and suffering from easily curable diseases, who cry out in vain.
Tuesday 14th September : In an age which insists on the protection of minors, there is a flourishing trade in weapons which end up in the child-shoulders: there is a ready market for goods produced by the slave labour of small children.
Wednesday 15th September: When families bring children into the world, train them in faith and sound values, and teach them to contribute to society, they become a blessing in our world.
Thursday 16th September: I find there are paths for young people, for children, and the little ones: the path of education, the path of sports and the path of work, when there are jobs for young people to start with!
Friday 17th September: So many young people spend their lives spaced out on drugs and noise, because they have no direction, because no one told them that there was something great!
Saturday 18th September: In the being and vocation of every Christian is personal encounter with the Lord. To seek God is to seek his face, to enter into his intimacy.
