Listen, my son to your father’s instruction
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Proverbs1:8
Monday 4th October : Children need to find a father waiting for them when they come home after falling. They will do everything not to admit it, not to show it, but they need it, and not to find the wounds in them that are difficult to heal.
Tuesday 5th October : Our personal experience of being accompanied and resisted, and of openness to those who accompany us, will teach us to be patient and compassionate with others, and to find the right way to gain their trust, their openness, and their readiness to grow.
Wednesday 6th October: : Together with young people everywhere, you want to help build a world where we all live in peace and friendship, overcoming barriers, healing divisions, rejecting violence and prejudice. And this is exactly what God wants for us.
Thursday 7th October: He who has become a friend of God loves his brothers and his sisters, commits himself to safeguarding their life and their health, and also respecting the environment and nature.
Friday 9th October: And also praying for one another! The husband for his wife, the wife for her husband, both together for their children, the children for their grandparents… praying for each other. This what it means to pray in the family, and it is what makes the family stronger in prayer.
Saturday 10th October: To care for individuals and peoples in need means protecting memory and hope: it means taking responsibility for the present with its situations of utter marginalisation and anguish and being capable of bestowing dignity upon it.
