Listening & dialogue

Listen, my son to your father’s instruction

and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.

Proverbs1:8

Monday 25th October : Those who listen in a healthy way can transform personal ties, which were so often hurtful, with the simple balm of acknowledging that the other is important and has something to say to me. listening fosters dialogue and makes possible the miracle of empathy that overcomes distance and resentments.

Tuesday 26th October : Jesus is rich in the same way as a child who feels loved and who parents, without doubting their love and tenderness for an instant.

Wednesday 27th October: Jesus does not treat us as slaves, bat as people who are free, as friends, as brothers and sisters: and he accompanies, he is always beside us in our mission of love.

Thursday 28th October:  With a tenderness that never disappoints but is always capable of restoring our joy, Jesus makes it possible for us to lift up our heads and to start anew.

Friday 29th October: Only if you have a personal encounter with Jesus can you be an instrument for others to encounter him.

Saturday 30th October:  In every Eucharistic Celebration Jesus offers himself for us to the Father, so that we too can be united with hi, offering to God our lives our work, our joys, and our sorrows… offering everything as a spiritual sacrifice.

If you wish to sign up for Gift Aid. It is a great way to help the parish financially, costing you absolutely nothing. If you wish to sign up contact myself or Doreen Lee and we will give you the form and hand it back as you can and we can get it organised. As I said it costs you nothing, but helps the parish so much.

I am looking for Volunteers to move the power-points on during the Sunday Masses, Vigil 4pm, 9.30am & 11am. It is very easy to operate, if we get enough volunteers for each Mass we would put a wee rota together. It would take a wee bit of pressure off me.
