Listen, my son to your father’s instruction
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Proverbs1:8
Monday 11th October : Fidelity is always personal: it has special names, codes and gestures for every person. Persons are the highest value: above them, there is no higher realm of values.
Tuesday 12th October : Relationships based on faithful love until death, like marriage, fatherhood, being child or sibling, are learned and lived in the household. When these relationships form the basis fabric of a human society, they lend cohesion and consistency.
Wednesday 13th October: I would like to speak directly to you young people: be committed to your daily duties, your studies, your work, to relationships of friendships, to helping others; your future depends on how you can live these precious years of your life. Do not be afraid of commitment, of sacrifice, and do not view the future with fear.
Thursday 14th October: Are we ready to be there for children, to “waste time with them? Are we ready to listen to them, to care for them, to pray for them and with them? Or do we ignore them because we are too caught up in our own affairs.
Friday 15th October: When a family loses the capacity to dream, children do not grow, love does not grow, life loses energy and dies out.
Saturday 16th October: It becomes possible to build communion amid disagreement, but this can only bye achieved by those great persons who are willing to go beyond the surface of the conflict and to see others in their deepest dignity.
