Fr Frank's Christmas message
This Christmas, let us ask Mary,
Mother of Jesus and our Mother
to elp us see in our neighbour
the face of Jesus, God made man.
Pope Francis
It is Monday morning, writing this to you just before I go into confessions. This is a place were we all receive the love and forgiveness of God.
A wee girl leaving the 11am Mass yesterday asked me why LOVE was my favourite word.
I replied by saying that is because God is Love and he loves all of us. Thats why its my favourite word, because God is LOVE.
We are patiently waiting for the birth of the baby Jesus. A baby who came to bring peace, joy and love to the world.
This message is still so relevant today as it was 2000 years ago. Our world is crying out for these great gifts that the baby Jesus brought.
We look at Ukraine, Russia, Gaza, Israel and other conflicts in our world. We pray that the baby Jesus will bring peace to our world.
We think about our communities, our families that they will be filled with peace, joy and love.
I wish to thank you all for your kindness to me over the last year.
I cannot and will not forget your outstanding generosity to the foodbank. Thank you.
I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you a happy and holy Christmas. And a peaceful New Year.
Always be assured of my continued prayers and commitment to the parish.
God Bless
Fr. Frank
