Easter Message from Fr. Frank

Webmaster • Apr 07, 2023

"Help us to seek you and to find you, to realise that we have a Father and are not orphans; that we can love and adore you." Pope Francis

We are not orphans, God the Father loves us and he shows us how much he loves us by sending his Son into the world. Jesus' message was one of love. His greatest act of love was to die on the cross for each one of us. God the Father knew this wasn't the end and on Easter Sunday Jesus rose from the dead.

Over the Season of Lent I have been so encouraged by the people who have come to Mass, the Stations of the Cross. You have come to love and adore the Lord. And he is been there to welcome you and to love you.

As a parish community we have to love and welcome people. That is why I think it is so important to have people in the porch to say good morning as people come in through the doors. A very simple way of saying your welcome here in St. Peter's.

Jesus died and rose not just for some of the people but all of the people. And all of the people are welcome here in St. Peter's. And they can have the opportunity to love and adore the lord. They can receive the love of their loving God too. So on this easter Sunday, let us thank the Risen lord for his great love for us and let us tell all people that they are loved to.

Thank You from Fr. Frank

I want to take this opportunity to thank the following people.

1. The Readers and Eucharistic Ministers who will help over the next few days. Not just now but throughout the year. I really appreciate all the work they do for me and the parish.

2. The organist Darren who will be playing for us at some of the services.

3. The cleaners of the Church who will work hard on Saturday morning. To help make the Church ready for the great celebration of the Lord's resurrection.

4. To Ian Reid and Stephen Boyle who have helped throughout the year.

5. To Danny McLear who has worked so hard in preparing for the next few days. I really couldn't do without him.

He is risen! He is not here! Man's inhumanity to Man As we celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, we remember this great act of love. Jesus died and rose from the dead to save us and redeem us. His message of justice peace and love are as relevant today as they were 2000 years ago. I think about the saying "man's inhumanity to man." especially in War torn areas, Ukraine and Gaza the fighting is still going on. People are dying, starving. I ask that the Risen Lord will bring peace to these conflicts and peace to our whole world. I also pray for peace in our community, parish and families, that the Risen Lord will be with each and every one of us. It has been a busy week so far, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped. I really appreciate everybody who has helped in anyway. I want to wish you and your families a happy and holy Easter. That the Risen Lord will be with you today and always. Always be assured of my continued prayers and commitment to the parish. God Bless and Prayers Fr. Frank
