Baptism of the lord

Webmaster • January 8, 2022

It's Saturday morning, the day before the feast of the Baptism pf the Lord.

It has been a sad week for three families, The McDade's, The Coyle's and the McGowan's. We Remember Jim, Michael & Sadie in our prayers. We Cannot forget their families who are mourning the loss of their loved ones.

On Wednesday we have the funeral of Calum Malone who was only nineteen. Please pray for his mum Sylvia and the rest of his family..

Friday at 12noon in the Co-operative Funeral Parlour we have the service for John Gormley. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Last Sunday we heard the sad news of the death of Alice Kelly. I would ask you to keep Alice in your prayers and the Kelly family as well.

It has been a very sad start to the New Year for all those who have lost someone close. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Some people have been asking about the Parish newsletter, it will return on the Weekend of the 29th January. All information you need will be here.

This week the Holy Ghost Fathers will say Mass on Monday Morning.

Then they will say Mass from Monday 17th to Monday 24th January inclusive. Im taking a few days off.

I would like to thank Willie Ferries who is looking after the calls for booking for Mass.

You can book every Monday from 9.30am.

From April of last year you have donated 4,236.5kg of food. Thank you so much. it has been amazing. Thank you once again.

I hope to begin the parish office from Monday 31st January. If you volunteered could you please send your name again to me or to Willie Ferries who will be organising the rota for the office.

As you know we had snow on Friday. I am looking for volunteers to help Danny & Ian to clear the snow.

I think that is all the news this week.

May God bless you all/

Fr. Frank

If you wish to sign up for Gift Aid. It is a great way to help the parish financially, costing you absolutely nothing. If you wish to sign up contact myself or Doreen Lee and we will give you the form and hand it back as you can and we can get it organised. As I said it costs you nothing, but helps the parish so much.

I am looking for Volunteers to move the power-points on during the Sunday Masses, Vigil 4pm, 9.30am & 11am. It is very easy to operate, if we get enough volunteers for each Mass we would put a wee rota together. It would take a wee bit of pressure off me.
